Busy Bees

Week  3 Term 4

Today we saw the bee Keeper come to our school and smoke the bees. He had to get rid of a hive, because it was too close to the classroom. He wore special gear to protect himself!

Liam and Emily got to watch him really closely from the safety behind our window.

Week 2 Term 4 

Today we made moouse!

We had to set up the mixer and add 500mls of milk to the bowl. Then we added our moouse sachet and stirred on high for a few minutes. We poured the moouse into cups and set in the fridge for tomorrow. Yummy! We can not wait to try this delicious moouse. We will each have a cup. After that we had to record what we had done. This will help us explain to others how to make moouse in the future!

Today we made ELMO cupcakes! Thanks so much to Liams' mum Cherie for all the ingredients and your help! We probably ate more than we took home!! YUMMY!!!!

We played on the courts this afternoon. We had to dribble,pass, throw and catch the ball to each other.

Emily is learning to balance the ball on the patter bat. She is trying really hard to concentrate. well done Emily!

Reign is also wanting to balance the ball by herself. she has noticed the wind can 'move' the ball just when she has it positioned!

Liam had fun keeping the ball close at hand. He shot some fabulous goals today. Ka Pai Liam!

We made cake last week...yummy. It worked and tasted great!

This jelly tastes really good!

I like green jelly so much!

We made jelly it was yum and it tasted like lime. It was very bouncy!

This afternoon we played on the courts. We practiced balance, bouncing, and rolling the ball. Liam got very tired after some time and Reign and Liam really enjoyed playing and working together.

This term we will bake on Mondays! We tried a sponge/biscuit recipe...yummy but .....didn't look so grand! All part of learning though...
Next week we will make cookies. 
I was impressed how well the three children worked and talked together to get the baking done! So many smiles!!

We all talked about building a Marae, if we get time for Matariki week. We still may do in term 3,because Mrs Hall will collect the boxes for us!

Emily read this book really ell and we put the story into sequence.

Emily loves the book about the swapping of the gumboots. She read it several times!!!!

Reign is learning to put her words into boxes to help her get the right size letters.

She very quickly located  'go' we went on from this to make going, got, goes.

Liam made all these words from one word! He did it quickly too!

Liam is developing his handwriting skills. 

Liam read this book in no time at all.

We talked about recycling and why it is important to do it!
